Texas Summer Highlights

Highlight #5: 4th of July. We went with some friends to see fireworks. While we waited we played a round of our favorite game, "Lost Cities." It was our first victory against Craig & Michelle. They were only selling pest control for the summer & are back at BYU now. We miss t
hem!
Highlight #6: Donating our old kitchen table and getting a "new" one off craigslist. You may be wondering where the table is that we donated...I'll give you a hint...Jeff is sitting on it in the picture. We've found that lots of things are multi-functional. We do miss the filing cabinet, but love having a kitchen table made of wood instead of metal. :0)
Highlight #7: Jeff participating in a screaming contest sponsored by a Spanish radio station here. He hit 126 decibels. Wow! I'm so proud of my little screamer! He earned us a $100 gift certificate at the auto shop, "Viva Mexico!"
In short...we've had a wonderful summer!
Trisha cute blog. It is so fun to read about your Texas adventures. I can tell you have put a lot of time into your blog. I love the wedding slide show too. You were the most beautiful bride! Ella loves the wedding photos!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me you aren't really using a filing cabinet for a kitchen table. That's kind of depressing. Looks like you've had some fun times, though. Hope all is well! We're excited to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alison. I guess I didn't realize that the post wasn't very clear as to whether or not the filing cabinet was the new or old kitchen table. It was the old one. We actually have a wooden kitchen table now...the real deal. I did edit my post so that it makes more sense.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you started a blog! I know it seems like just another thing to do, but I really think it is one of the fastest ways to keep family and friends updated all at once. I loved hearing about your summer and I'm going to go buy the Lost Cities game cuz we love new games.
